02. Interview with Live Sound Engineer, Jose Ortega

Jose Ortega has been in love with Live Sound since he first stepped out of the studio and onto a stage. Festival work is especially adrenalin-pumping stuff – particularly in a small tent where you’re mixing monitors from FOH and you have band after band with radically different set-ups, short changeovers, severe noise restrictions (on stage) and no noise restrictions (in the campsites). In fact, the challenges are what make the madness such a great experience!
Using the Roland M5000 made a huge difference to his experience of the less-than-ideal PA he was stuck with.
