After using the Roland M5000 for four days at Somersault Festival in Devon, Jose explains why he loved using the desk – not only was it super-easy to get a mix going in the first song of an un-soundchecked band, but the Dynamic EQ made his life incredibly easy when trying to adhere to super-strict noise level controls, and eliminating problem frequencies in the PA. The Anchor feature is a favourite and the in-built effects are a very high quality, meaning he didn’t have to lug is own delay unit around a (very, very) muddy field.
