05. Roland M5000 – Using the Graphic EQs

Nico Suarez & Jose Ortega discuss the 32 GEQs available on the desk. These can be grouped into up to 8 groups – all members of the groups are controlled together – nifty for monitors. A/B comparisons are simple, and you can choose between Proportional and Constant Q. Constant is commonly used for FOH, whilst Proportional Q is often useful for monitors. You can even use the knobs rather than faders to give an extra level of control.
